To help further:-

Put up posters, knock on doors, notify local pets surgeries, the police, rescue centres and post your missing pet on as many websites as possible: start with this one (www.logon2pets.co.uk) - give details of your pet, where it went missing from, any distinguishing marks, age, sex, name, is it microchipped? (and send a photo), also try http://www.gumtree.com/ (post it in more than one area as the pet may have been stolen and moved further away), and you could also try http://www.preloved.co.uk.

If your pet is insured, it's possible the insurance company will do flyers for you and even pay a reward.

And last, but not least, DON'T GIVE UP HOPE - animals sometimes reappear after months and never even tell you where they've been!
